Remote support works like a charm.

When we started, we thought the hard part was sending commands across the internet fast enough that the mouse doesn't lag. That turned out to be the easy part. The real work was everything else.

Getting Windows to let the app run without asking for permission. Making the installer survive a restart. Handling the case where someone switches Google accounts in the middle of a session. Keeping the app responsive while it's doing work in the background. Showing dead connections as offline instead of frozen. Making sure the login flow doesn't break the security.

These are not glamorous problems. They don't make a good story. But they're the difference between shipping something that technically works and shipping something a customer can actually use without calling back. We put real work into them. It was worth it.
