We built a game where you explore South Texas, catch creatures, and see who's mapped the most of the region. The creatures are named after real South Texas food and culture. Your starter creatures are Monte (named after Monterrey), Salsa, and Raspa (short for raspado, the frozen treat). You find them in the field and add them to your collection.
The creatures are hand-drawn, the writing is tighter, and the whole thing feels like a real game now instead of something we threw together as a side project. You don't even need to log in to try it and see if you like it.
It's still a side project and it'll stay weird, but it works now. If you're from South Texas or you're curious what a creature game set here looks like, it's worth a few minutes.
