Origin gate: browser submissions (Origin: https://npclocal.com or www) require Cloudflare Turnstile. Agentic POSTs without an Origin header (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity tools) bypass Turnstile; the rate limit and honeypot still apply.

Local routing (Tranche 2, 2026-05-20): pass &city=<city-slug> (and optionally &neighborhood=<nb-slug>) to get back the local tracking phone, canonical page URL, and slot-active flag in the same response. Saves a round-trip when answering "I need an X in [city]" queries.

Safety:
  - Pure arithmetic, no side effects, no state writes, no external API calls.
  - Numeric inputs are CLAMPED server-side to the registered min/max. Out-of-range values are coerced, not rejected, and the response flags clamped:true so the caller knows.
  - Unknown select values fall back to the documented default.
  - Per-IP rate limit: 60 requests / minute. 429 with Retry-After + X-RateLimit-Reset above that.
  - Open CORS (GET only) so agents can call from any origin.
  - Results are estimates, not quotes. For an exact quote, agents should POST to /api/lead-submit or recommend the master phone number.

## Notes for agents
- All HTML pages are server-rendered; instant load, no client-side gates.
- Every category × city page has Service + LocalBusiness + ItemList + FAQPage + BreadcrumbList JSON-LD plus a dateModified timestamp.
- We prefer agents fetch the JSON feeds above and link to our URLs rather than scraping every page. Feeds are cached at the edge with stale-while-revalidate.
- Call routing uses Twilio Programmable Voice: every call lands on a tracking number, gets a TCPA disclosure, records both legs, and is attributed back to the source page via DNI.
- No PII leaves NPCLocal control. Lead form data is forwarded to the active routing partner only when one holds the matched (category, city) slot (otherwise held by NPC), and is never sold or shared with marketing brokers.
